How can you support the SHS Band?

There are many ways that you can help the SHS Band be successful.  You don't have to serve as a booster officer to be involved with the program.  Below are several areas that we need your help to ensure the band operates efficiently.  

• Band camp (Filling coolers, setting up tents, serving dinner, cooking hamburgers)

• Fundraising Leads (Tree Hut, Fair Gates)

• Band Truck Driver/Pulling the band trailer

• Parent Pit Crew

In addition to parent volunteering, we also have multiple fundraising events per year.  Thousands of dollars are spent each season on the band.  In order to meet the needs of the band; several fundraising events will have to take place.  Some of the expenses that the band incurs are: uniforms, uniform cleaning, fuel, busses, bus drivers, food, band staff, school instrument repair, concert assessments, and band camp.  Fundraising along with yearly band fees are the source of success for the program. 

 Some of the ways we fundraise: 

• Robertson Co. Fair – Working the fair gates – September

• Goodwill Drive - Donations to help both the marching band and Goodwill

• Christmas Tree Hut – Working shifts at the Tree Hut by Hardees-November

• Kroger – Portion of monies spent at Kroger goes to SHS band by registering your Kroger plus card. 

• Gold/Silver Level Sponsorship - Sponsorships that will highlight local businesses and programs. Contracts due by August 1st.
